C2-I Engineering works across several engagement models. The right path depends on where the program is, how the requirement is funded, and what the customer actually needs.
SBIR / STTR
C2-I has competed and won across multiple SBIR and STTR cycles through DoD, NOAA, and EPA program offices. For early-stage requirements, competitive SBIR is the fastest path from technical need to funded prototype.
Direct Contract Delivery
For programs with defined requirements, C2-I delivers systems directly. This includes full production runs, single-unit deliveries to specialized programs, and iterative development against real operational feedback.
Teaming and Subcontracting
C2-I brings specialized littoral robotics and counter-UAS capability to prime contractor teams. For primes who need credible, delivered capability in these areas on a proposal, C2-I provides the technical depth and the past-performance record.
Data Collection as a Service
C2-I operates its own systems on behalf of clients for land and sea environmental, geotechnical, infrastructure, and survey data collection. Customers who need the data rather than the hardware use this model.
Equipment Lease
Programs that need the platform in the field but are not yet at a procurement stage can access C2-I systems through a lease arrangement. Useful for survey operations, research programs, and evaluation phases before a full commitment.
Contract R&D
Specific engineering problems that do not fit a standard SBIR cycle can be addressed through direct contract R&D. C2-I takes the problem from definition through prototype and test. The engineers running the contract are the engineers doing the work.
